Updating an existing installation

Run the new installer. Setup closes TickRiver and its local MCP server when they can safely exit. Your time records are stored separately from the application and are retained during an update.

If you have connected an AI client, reconnect it or restart it after updating so it loads the new MCP server.

Your data stays separate

Uninstalling TickRiver retains your local database, backups you created, logs, and AI-client settings. See Backups and restoring data for the data location and restore steps.
